Hey Sarah - thanks for downloading 'Farewell Theme' - enjoy! Tim
Hi Sarah. I am humbled and wanna express my thanks for you taking time to listen to some of my songs and for d'loading them. Good Health & Good Music. Jim
Haven't been on B/jam for a while for many reasons, this is one of them. Looked at a review I had come in... ''Beautiful string arrangement'' - 'Instrumentation 2-5' Give me strength! That's about as much use to me as a chocolate fireguard.
complain to BJ about it, it is disheartening getting a 2/5 and a good comment, BJ could lose its credibility over reviews...
Have they got around to restricting reviews to Primo members yet?
Nah - just not in bed yet - it was about 2:15...
Really digging our new home over at reverbnation (www.reverbnation.cm/richpulinmusic alfamily) If you havn't yet, you should check it out! Sure beats this place
Hi Borea - thanks for adding me to your contacts list. I am listening to your songs now - I'm very impressed! It's original and kind of haunting. Good job. Tim Dawson
Thank you Tim for your message and listening. I'll give an ear at your work.
Tim - Ragged Man (and all your music for that matter) is a great tune. I want to say CCR but NO, meaning it has familiarity but is unique and that is awesome. Take the constructive comments positively and with a grain of salt. Your delivery, tone, and attack are all right on. I only wrote that cuz the "professionals" are BRUTAL and will tear you apart! I just think it's a matter of retakes. I have the luxury of my own studio but even if you don't, take at least 5 takes per verse/chs, etc...keep the best of the best and forget the rest - no harm in that and certainly no shame. It's all you all the time - you just pick the best and blend them - especially when it's new it's hard to sing with perfection and conviction - that's what the big boys do and that's what I do. I'm far from perfect as well but only keep the best of the best. By the time I do it live I'm a demon! Good luck and don't change the great skills you have and keep the great songs coming!
Thanks TTA - that's a real encouragement. Thanks for taking the time to listen and to comment so constructively. If you get a chance, vist timdawsonmusic.com and leave a guest book comment - that would be awsome! Cheers again. Tim
Thanks for your great thoughts on "Storm Of Days". Written because of the book "Million Little Pieces". Appreciate the great marks!
No problem Steve - it's a great song.
Hi Rebecca - just looking through my music reviews and saw that you reviewed my piano piece 'Farewell Theme'. I re-read your comments and you said that if the piece was made available on Broadjam you would download it. It's there and free. Help yourself! Tim
Thank you Tim for reviewing my song. I appreciated your comments. Please come back and listen to more of my material when you can.
No problem - my compute has been playing up, but I'll be back soon.
Hi Till - thanks for downloading my song 'Farewell Theme'. Glad you like it! Tim Dawson

Then you haven't heard of many blues artists. Take a look at blues.about.com and you will see new material coming from both established and new artists. I would also point out that I am probably old enough to be your grandfather and am not looking for 'a lebel', though I have been there, got the badge, got the T-shirt. I just enjoy writing music. It isn't something I take personally either, I'm hoping that you won't take such an adolescent attitude towards other people's music or be so condescending - saying 'who knows you might be able to change that'. Having such a way with words I am not entirely srprised that your songs have no lyrics! Watch out kid, 'cos you will get people annoyed.
Listened to and downloaded 'Farewell Theme' and really enjoyed it! Thanks Tim. Till
Tim, Thanks for the kind review of my tune, "Such A Pretty Thing". I am very encouraged by your insites. Scott.
Not a problem Scott. I used to play bass and sing a similar kind of jump blues/soul material and it's hard to get it right, which you do without a doubt. Keep up the good work!! Tim
Thankyou for your review of Asama Bin Rotten . No front porch swing but very similar ,it's one of only two songs of mine that I've attempted to play lead guitar as well . It sprung from my training exercises back in 2003. Thanks again
No problem - great song!
Hi Tim, You have reviewed two of my song lately "Ghost in the city" and "Cry for you", you say they both sound like something from 70's porn movies............... I give up. You'll have to stop watching these films....... Tommy
Sorry about the 70's references mate - I didn't know they were both yours! I haven't seen that kind of movie since the 70s, and then only when my mates and I could rustle up the admission for the Classic Cinema in Sheffield. Still, memories are easier to make than to kill. I meant no offence - it's good music, it's just that that's where it takes me. I doubt that anyone else would get the same feeling. Tim
Hi Tim, No Problem, No offence taken... thanks for the reviews. Tommy
Thanks once again for another review, this time of ''St Paul Kitty'' no, laptop speakers are are not the best medium to listen, might I suggest a decent sound system turned up to 11! Cheers again Tim Earl
You're right Earl - my stereo amp is in for repair just now, when it's back I'll have another go! Keep 'em coming!! Cheers, Tim
Hi Tim, thanks for the review of your love, very balanced and fair. Please feel free to listen and comment on the other tracks I have so far placed on here, any constructive critism is always welcome. Cheers, Adam
Thanks for the review Sunil - I.ve always known music ewas mathematical, but you lost me in the ist sentence of your profile! :) Tim
Hey Jimmy - Just to say thanls for your review of my song 'Ain't gonna miss you'. I really appreciate your kind comments. I hope you will check out my website at timdawsonmusic.com if you get a chance. There will be new stuff arriving there very soon and I would appreciate any coments you may have. Cheers, Tim
Thanks for the review of 'Farewell Theme'. I appreciate all you say and I am going to re-record the piece with much less regard for tempo and mopre for feel. The originasl was like that when the composition was new, but I lost the recording! I'll let you know when it is done and I would appreciate your comments. Cheers, Tim
Hey Joe - thanks for the great review of Rock and rule my world. I'm in Rhodes Greece right now, but I'm gonna look up some of your material when I get home next week. Cheers mate!
OK - I've been out of things for a while. I will soon have my website up and running again and I'm gonna get some new material on there and on BJ over the summer. I've decided to make my recordings much 'sparer' in terms of backing and also redo some of my material to make it shorter. I reckon the 3.30 limit set by 45rpm vinyl is about right for most stuff. Give me a couple of weeks and try the site again. Thanks to you all for showing interest! Tim Dawson timdawsonmusic.com
Another great song Earl!
Thanks Tim, I'm not sure what song you mean though. How are things going 4 you? Cheers Earl
It was 'Who's gonna rock my world'. Great idea, great lyrics (as usual) Keep 'em coming! Tim
Hi David - just want to say thanks for the review of my piece 'Farewell Theme'. This is without a doubt the most useful review I have ever had on BJ!
Thanks Tim. I like the piece--just needs a little more work (just like the rest of us!). Don't give up on this one--it is NICE. Keep in touch with me. David
I'll give it a shot and let you know when it's done. Thanks again.
Thanks for tha review of my song "Intermission". You have some great music here. Cant wait to hear more! M. Shark
Thanks for your kind review of my piece 'Farewell Theme' - you have really encouraged me after a year of inactivity.. Tim Dawson
Thanks for the kind review of "Think About It". Appreciate itt.
Not a problem mate, Great song!

Hey TTA - thanks for your recent review of my song Ragged Man. I appreciate your comments. You're right, it is a touch pitchy, but this is something that happened once I hit 40! I don't know why unless the song is a bit high for my voice now. Getting older is crap! Cheers!
